24 Weeks...Our Little Ear of Corn

Baby T is the size of an Ear of Corn!

How far along: 24 weeks
How big is baby? Ear of Corn
Symptoms: No symptoms this week!
Maternity clothes: Yes! Cycling through my current stash and a friend just gave me some of her clothes – excited to introduce some new shirts into the mix!
Sleep: Not much new here. Found out sleeping with a 3 year old in a twin bed while pregnant (and forgetting your pregnancy pillow) is quite the challenge!
Miss anything: Summery drinks…Rachel made a watermelon sangria this weekend that looked SO good…and then Mandola’s had a sangria special that also looked delish
Movement: Peanut is still moving and grooving in there! Justin felt some pretty big kicks this week and mom felt her first kick!
Food cravings: We went to Mandola’s (Italian restaurant) Saturday night and Justin and I split bruschetta, a pizza & gelato. I was so SO full! Despite this…I was still craving sour candy…luckily I had none on hand or else I probably would have exploded!
Anything making you queasy or sick: Nope!
Have you started to show yet: Yes!
Labor signs: No
Belly button in or out: In…I feel like the countdown to out should start very soon!
Wedding rings on or off: On
Mood: Good!
Feeling boy or girl? Boy…I had a dream we had a boy so it must be true right??
Looking forward to: MEXICO! Our last vacation without baby T! This will be my last plane ride for about 10 months…probably the longest I have gone without flying in my life…crazy!
Best moment of this week: Going to College Station and getting to visit with Rachel & Sandie (and of course Madeleine & Audrey) and getting my new CAR! Justin has been doing extensive research for the last 2-3 months on a bigger vehicle to accommodate us, the baby & the dogs. We realized there was probably no way we could take a road trip (even to see Justin’s family) with the baby and the dogs (plus baby gear) in his Passat or my Rogue and financially it just made sense for us to do it now. After A LOT of research and some test driving we settled on the Toyota Highlander. Of course we pick one of the hottest cars on the market right now that they can’t keep on the lot. We ordered it the day I turned 20 weeks and picked it up 2 days shy of turning 24 weeks! I will miss my Rogue – it was such a great car – but am super happy that it went to a good home…Sandie’s mom (aka Grandma) bought it! I’m also excited my car will reside in College Station hehe. Now I just need to convince myself it’s okay for the Highlander to leave the garage ;)

23 Weeks...Our Little Grapefruit

Baby T is the size of a Grapefruit!

How far along: 23 weeks
How big is baby? Grapefruit
Symptoms: Another week of no symptoms…I think the 2nd tri is my bff right now (not that the first tri was bad)!
Maternity clothes: Yes…and I finally found a comfy pair of cotton workout shorts so I can feel comfortable exercising in public again!
Sleep: Same as last week…still waking up several times a night on my back and have to flip myself over
Miss anything: Not this week
Movement: So much movement! Mostly in the mornings and at bedtime but I also feel him/her randomly throughout the day (if I’m sitting fairly still at least)
Food cravings: Nothing this week…it’s been a pretty laid back week pregnancy-wise
Anything making you queasy or sick: Nope!
Have you started to show yet: Yes!
Labor signs: No
Belly button in or out: In but thin!
Wedding rings on or off: On
Mood: Good!
Feeling boy or girl? Boy
Looking forward to: Going to College Station!
Best moment of this week: Laying in bed and having Justin feel some major baby kicks and watching my tummy move around…so neat!! Also, dinner with Mansee & Jamie and bridesmaids dress shopping! It was a fun week/weekend!

22 Weeks...Our Little Papaya

Baby T is the size of a Papaya!

How far along: 22 weeks
How big is baby? Papaya
Symptoms: No real symptoms this week. I’ve noticed that even if I don’t eat a big meal – a little while after I finish I feel SO FULL. I think my stomach is starting to run out of room!
Maternity clothes: Yes, I’m actually really glad I’m pregnant in the summer because I love wearing shorts/tank tops!
Sleep: Still waking up multiple times on my back but I guess it’s starting to become the norm to wake up several times at night because it’s not bothering me as much this week
Miss anything: Margaritas/frozen summery drinks!
Movement: Yes! I’m feeling much more movement throughout the day (rather than just at night). Justin got to feel the baby move for the first time on Saturday night!! It was so exciting!
Food cravings: No…but I realized at the beginning of my pregnancy those definitely were pickle cravings because I still like them but don’t feel the need to eat 4+ a day
Anything making you queasy or sick: Nope!
Have you started to show yet: Yes!
Labor signs: No
Belly button in or out: In
Wedding rings on or off: On
Mood: Good!
Feeling boy or girl? I’ll stick with boy again this week – I haven’t gained weight anywhere but my belly
Now that's a good friend right there! Thanks Rachel!
Looking forward to: Seeing Mansee this week and bridesmaids dress shopping!!
Best moment of this week: My birthday (duh) and celebrating Justin’s first {pre} father’s day. We had a nice relaxing day. We ran a few errands, went out for lunch, got  some pool time in with Magan, Dustyn & Everett, and Justin cooked us some DELISH hamburgers on his new charcoal grill for dinner! {My dad is in Maine visiting my grandma but mom got to enjoy Father's Day with us!!} Also...Justin got to feel peanut kick again Sunday night…perfect ending to a perfect day. Although I think next years will be better with baby T in tow!

21 Weeks...Our Little Pomegranate

Baby T is the size of a Pomegranate!

How far along: 21 weeks
How big is baby? Pomegranate
Symptoms: Headaches continue…yay! Got a few Charlie horses in the morning when I woke up and stretched – ouch! Only happened a few days though
Maternity clothes: Yes – nothing new here
Sleep: Not so good this week. My doctor told me I can’t sleep on my back anymore, which I hadn’t been doing but I go to sleep on my side (with the amazing body pillow) and wake up on my back SO MANY TIMES during the night. I have added another pillow into the mix to try and prevent myself from rolling on my back but I still wake up on my back. What the heck?! It’s starting to get hard to roll over to the other side (plus I have to move my wedge pillow every time I switch sides). I have a feeling this is only going to get worse…unless I can stay asleep on my side…
Miss anything: Sleeping through the night (I know, I know…get used to it!)
Movement: Yes! It still feels sort of like flutters but one day this week I felt 3 stronger movements – more like kicks.
Food cravings: Nope
Anything making you queasy or sick: Walking through the meat section of HEB – they were cooking something with bacon and it smelled AWFUL! I grabbed what I needed and ran.
Have you started to show yet: Yep, no turning back on this one! I dropped some stuff off at goodwill on Friday and when I got out of the car the girl goes “omg you did not look pregnant until you stepped out and I saw your belly!” Made me feel good because I’ve been a little self-conscious about gaining weight – but I guess Justin is right – it’s only in my belly (for now)!
Labor signs: No
Belly button in or out: In – but getting very shallow!
Wedding rings on or off: On
Mood: Happy happy!
Feeling boy or girl? Boy…I just don’t have girl symptoms but I know that doesn't mean anything
Looking forward to: My birthday! The big 2-7  Mom and I are doing a crazy colorful cakes class on Monday and then finally trying Jack Allen’s Kitchen for my birthday dinner! Also, Rachel, Kyle & Puma are coming to visit this weekend! Oh and my chiropractor appointment – it’s a week overdue and I can’t wait! haha
Best moment of this week: Our 20 week anatomy scan was the best part! We got to see peanut on the screen for a good amount of time and he/she is healthy and growing right on track! Heart beat was 153, baby weighs 13 oz & is measuring 3 days ahead. The tech had us turn away (and paused our DVD) while she went down to “the goods” so we still don’t know if it’s a girl/boy! Yay! Going to the X-Games with my dad was also supposed to be a highlight of the week but I ended up not going at my dad’s recommendation because of the heat. He went all 3 days and said it was “blazing hot.”  If you know my dad you know he never thinks it’s hot so I would have probably died there!! Thanks for looking out for me dad!

20 Weeks...Our Little Banana...Halfway There!

Baby T is the size of a Banana!

How far along: 20 weeks
How big is baby: Banana
Symptoms: Mild headaches are creeping back – nothing terrible but still not fun. And I forget to mention it since it’s so constant but I still have the pain in the back of my pelvis.
Maternity clothes: Yes…and I had to go into the office 3 days this week instead of 2 and had run out of maternity pants – good thing it was Friday because I was forced to wear shorts! haha
Sleep: Just okay this week. I wake up multiple times a night on my back (even though I go to sleep on my side). Not sure what is waking me up because I haven’t even been doing a bathroom trip every night
Miss anything: First time I’ve actually wanted a drink after my bad day at work on Friday!
Movement: Yes I feel peanut mostly at night but occasionally during the day or when I’m in the car I feel him/her where my seat belt is.
Food cravings: Still not having any particular cravings. I actually feel really lucky that I don’t have any food aversions or any crazy cravings.
Anything making you queasy or sick: Not this week!
Have you started to show yet: Yes, even had a lady come up to me in Target and tell me Carter’s was having a baby sale hehe
Labor signs: No
Belly button in or out: In
Wedding rings on or off: On
Mood: Great! I can’t believe this pregnancy is halfway over. I know the second part will fly by even faster than the first part since it’s only been 8 weeks since we told the world (and we have known for 16) and we have so much going on between now and October it’s going to fly!
Feeling boy or girl: I think boy – I feel like I’m carrying low but I think it’s really too early to tell
Looking forward to: Our 20 week scan! It’s funny because most people go into this scan worried they won’t be able to find out the sex – I’m worried that we WILL find out! I just can’t wait to see that baby move around! And going to the X-Games this weekend with my dad!
Best moment of this week: Finding Blue Bell Dos Amigos ice cream at the store for Justin! Long story short {ok so it turned kind of long} – I got Justin hooked on this ice cream when I met him and a few months later Blue Bell stopped making it. I am not exaggerating here when I say every time {every time} we go into a store that has an ice cream case we have to check and see if they have Dos Amigos. This has been going on for 7 years. Last Wednesday I had to run into Walmart before our workout to grab a dessert (my pregnancy brain had already forgotten twice that day) for our neighbor dinner. I was settled on Klondike bars but had to do my routine Dos Amigos check and holy moly there it was! Justin was waiting for me in the car and I couldn’t even wait to get out there to tell him so I called him while in the aisle. It’s a good thing he wasn’t there because I’m pretty sure he would have caused a scene. We have happily found the ice cream in every store we’ve gone in since Wednesday so hopefully it’s going to stick around. If you have Blue Bell in your stores – go try it now! It’s Mexican chocolate/Mexican vanilla mix…with a hint of cinnamon. SO GOOD
