Christine's Baby Shower

This past Sunday Ashley and I hosted a baby shower for Christine. We've been planning since before we found out the genders of the babies and were so excited when the clock finally struck one on Sunday and it was time for the shower to start! Christine is having a girl and a boy so we decided to go for a colorful twin shower theme!

The Decorations

We had a Storybook Collection of The Berenstain Bears books to sign as a guestbook!

The Games
Everyone wrote their name on the date they think the babies will be born...then we asked Christine when she thinks the babies will be born and whoever was closest won!
Guess how many jelly beans are in the baby bottle! We had guesses from 100-450! The correct number was 250 :)
The Price is Right...Baby Edition...Everyone had to guess the value of all of the items without going over...We only had 2 people that were under...everyone was almost doubled! Christine was happy to learn that maybe babies aren't as expensive as she thought :)
In honor of Christine's love for celebrity news we played a celebrity baby name game...matching the celebrity baby/child with their [crazy] parents...I think the favorite name was Diva Thin Muffin Pigeen...Christine - are you SURE you are set on Tenley???
We decorated burp cloths as our "arts & crafts" :)

The Food

For the food we decided to go for a twin theme!

Ok so veggies was the only thing we couldn't come up with a twin theme for but who doesn't love veggies & ranch??
Cheese & Cracker PAIRS
TWO Layer Fruit Salad with pineapple & strawberries
TWICE Baked Potato Dip with Ruffles
DOUBLE Decker Sandwiches...Chicken Salad & PB&J!

Raspberry Lemonade & Citrus Water

In-between games & decorating we had a DOUBLE Fudge Sundae Bar that was a hit!
We had lots of toppings that included brownies, chocolate chip cookies, mini m&ms, sprinkles, nuts, crushed DOUBLE stuffed oreos, gummy bears, andes mint bites, bananas, chocolate sauce & caramel sauce!

We ended the shower with Christine opening her wonderful gifts!

Ashley, Christine, & I
It seemed like everyone had a lot of fun and Christine received lots of necessities for those precious babies. I'm so lucky to have her as a friend (how convenient is it that we live next door??) and can't WAIT to meet those precious babies!!
(And next up...Ashley's baby shower in January!!)
