Schulenburg Sunset

This weekend we packed the dogs up and headed to Schulenburg for the weekend. It was the Schulenburg Festival but we were just going to visit Justin's parents, brother, and fiance. We had a super relaxing weekend and hung out inside most of the time since it's August and it's so dang hot. Friday night Justin and I went out in the pasture on the buggy around sunset and it was so pretty so I made him take me back out there Saturday so I could snap a few pictures! I almost died from multiple incidents with grasshoppers (how have I never seen one in real life before this weekend?!) but it was worth it!

Let's Play Ball!

This past week we have had a LOT of rain and cooler temperatures - in the 80's! (in July, what??) so it has been a nice change. On Sunday afternoon it was really overcast outside and the weather was soo nice so we went outside with the dogs and played ball for a while. Hunter would literally chase his ball until he falls over dead if we let him, so in the summer we have to limit his ball time outside to like 10 minutes. He was able to play for 45 on Sunday followed by a long walk around the neighborhood...happy dogs! We try and get Lexie to fetch the ball - she's getting better but she usually waits until Hunter comes back with it and then tries to steal it. We give her a different ball and she usually goes off and chews it by herself. 

We Looove the Outside!

So it's been a long time since I've written and today I was having camera withdrawals. I took over 1200 pictures on vacation and I guess I was kind of burned out when I got home so I haven't really used my camera. I'll have to recap our vacation soon - it's just so hard to summarize a fantastic 12 day trip in a few pictures but I will do my best. But today after I got home from working out I took out my camera and my favorite subjects and went outside for a bit. It was nice and "cool" at 95 degrees...I'm just trying to enjoy before we get back into the 100's everyday! I dread what August brings...eek!
