Lubeck, Germany

Our final stop on this Baltic cruise was Kiel, Germany which is the main port for Hamburg. During my Germany research I found a Medieval city - Lubeck that looked like fun. We took a ships tour which was just transportation from Kiel to Lubeck (about an hour and a half on the bus) and then free time to do what you want in the city. We had iffy weather on the way there but it ended up being a really nice day and we didn't have to break out the ponchos - thankful for that!

Another farmers market with lots of food trailers
Such interesting architecture

Pretty, pretty flowers

Jeff our "tour guide" - We overheard someone walk by and say "Oh, they must be on a private tour" haha!
See he can multi-task sometimes...beer and pictures!
Huge church!
Inside was really pretty
Someone was playing the smaller organ and it was amazing!

The group (minus Deanna the photographer)

Picturesque streets
The town is surrounded by water
We sat on our balcony as we sailed away from Kiel and saw some pretty neat boats!

Submarine!

After dinner the captain announced we would be going under the 3rd longest suspension bridge in the world - the Great Belt Bridge and clearing it by only 22 feet! {The bridge spans 5,328 feet} We went up on deck to watch us go under - realizing if for some reason we did not clear the bridge we were in the worse spot and we were all goners! Obviously that did not happen and we were able to get some great sunset & bridge pictures!

It was the perfect ending to a perfect vacation! I have one more blog post with pictures from on board the Eurodam - our home away from home for 10 days!
