Madeleine's Baby Shower & Audrey's 2nd Birthday

It feels like just yesterday I was posting about Audrey's 1st birthday party and now her 2nd birthday has come and gone. My mom and I headed to College Station right after work on Friday and made it right on time to Rachel's baby shower for little Madeleine. Madeleine is due march 24th but will be arriving one week early on March 18th - I can't wait to meet her! The shower...or Sprinkle...was so nice and laid back! Rachel's sweet neighbor (also an Aggie!) hosted the shower. There was lots of yummy food, fun conversations, sweet babies, and lots of presents! I love the idea of a sprinkle for a second baby rather than a full blown shower...it was nice to just relax and enjoy each other's company!

Rachel with her neighbor and college roommates and their babies (and babies to be)!
Audrey was such a good little present helper...she helped open "Mad's" presents

Adorable diaper cake AnnMarie made!
Saturday morning was Audrey's birthday party. Rachel and Sandie did a garden theme and it was SO cute! It was supposed to be outside but it ended up being cold (in the 40's) so the party was inside. There was SO much yummy food...fruit and sandwiches from Jason's Deli, delicious (and beautiful) homemade cupcakes, pinwheels, salad, and lots more!

Audrey LOVES blue right now...hence the blue theme :)

The birthday girl ran into a table at the shower the night before so the poor thing had a black eye :(

Look at those shoes! A-dorable!

Happy 2nd Birthday Audrey and happy almost birthday to Madeleine!! Can't wait for the birthday parties next year!!

Happy First Birthday Audrey Sophia!!

This past weekend Justin and I went to College Station to celebrate Audrey's 1st Birthday. It's hard to believe she is already a year old! There was lots of food, friends, and fun! The birthday girl had a blast and it was so much fun getting to see her light up at the little things from balloons...to cake...to seeing all of the people that love her so much. It's just so fun to watch babies and their curiosity and pure genuine happiness. Rachel (Audrey's mom) handmande all of the decorations. She got a lot of the ideas off of pinterest and man did she do a fabulous job!! Everything came together perfectly. I LOVED the pinwheels - still can't believe she made them! Audrey's cupcakes were absolutely delicious...one of the best cupcakes I've ever had! When it came time for presents, Audrey was more interested in her cards and showing them to everyone - it was so cute. Her presents with books were saved for last because she loves to read so much that it would have halted the present opening if they were mixed in and not at the end. Pretty amazing that a one year old already loves books this much. So here's some of my favorite pictures...they were hard to choose because Audrey is so dang cute...and out of 150 pictures - almost all of them are of her!

UT, A wedding & Baby Audrey!

What a wonderful weekend! Started out Saturday morning with our photography field trip on the UT campus. Kristin and I got caught in the pouring rain on our way to the meeting place...only to have the teacher not show up! Frustrating! On our way back to the car we stopped to photograph these interesting trees outside the Blanton Museum of Art...they're tree stockings! Has something to do with that lady that does knit graffiti. I thought it looked very Dr. Seuss-ish! There are 99 trees with these socks on them!

Beautiful crepe myrtle outside of the library
Saturday night we went to one of Justin's really good friends from high schools wedding. It was out near Blanco in the hill country and it was beautiful! I don't have those picutres with me but I can add them later:)

Sunday we got up and made the drive to College Station to see baby Audrey. Justin and I realized we hadn't been to College Station together basically since we graduated - crazy! So we spent the day enjoying time with Sandie, Neil, Rachel, Cliff, Grandma, and of course baby Audrey. Audrey was born on Wednesday March 2nd! We also got to go see the progress on Rachel and Cliff's new house - can't wait to see it when it's done - it's going to be beautiful! Here are some of the baby pictures I took - a lot of them came out blurry becaues I didn't want the flash going off in her face.

Adorable Stork in the front yard

Audrey Sophia :)

Her precious little hands & long fingers!

Isn't she beautiful!?

So precious!

Her tiny feet & long toes!

A little sun-bather already!
The next couple of pictures are a little blury but I had to add them. Sandie has 2 dogs and her big dog Cassie was quite interested in Audrey. Pretty much all day she walked around and tried to either stick her nose into the bassonet or sit by whoever was holding Audrey. She even gave Audrey a few kisses on her head - so sweet!

Cassie & Baxter are concerned with the crying!

Puppy kisses from Cassie

Just keeping tabs on Audrey!
